Overview

If you don't want to miss out on bed vacancies in your area that meet your care needs, Vacancy Notifications is a convenient and easy to use feature that will notify you as soon as these vacancies become available within a 30 day period.

The 30 days begins on the date you specify on your online Vacancy Notification request form. You will be notified via email and/or SMS every time a vacancy matches the care and suburb preferences you select on your request form.

Vacancy Notifications is linked to Vacancy Alert and Facility Search features on our website portal, designed to give you access to the most comprehensive and up-to-date information about facilities and their vacancies.

Vacancy Alert is a database of current aged care bed vacancies. All vacancies are only valid until they are filled or for up to 48 hours. After 48 hours they are automatically removed from the register and if they are still available, they must be resubmitted by the facility.

The Facility Search is a complete facility search engine that can be used to locate an aged care facility anywhere in Australia. Each facility has a profile, providing you with further information about the services that are offered.

How it works

FAQs

1. How can I view the facility that has a vacancy that meets my request?

In the email you receive notifying you of a vacancy that meets your request, you will be provided with a link to the facility's profile/showcase page on our website which contains more information about the facility and the vacancy that is available. You can contact the facility directly to discuss the vacancy and organise a tour.

2. When I have found the facility I want, how can I stop receiving email or sms alerts?

If you have found a suitable vacancy within the 30 days period and no longer wish to be notified when other vacancies that match your requirements become available, you can unsubscribe from notifications. You can do this by editing your orignal request and changing your options to not accept email/SMS notifications through the 'My Placement Assist' tab in your 'my haaa account'.

3. What do I do if I cannot find a suitable vacancy within 30 days?

If you have not found a suitable vacancy within the 30 day period allocated, you will have the opportunity to resubmit your Vacancy Notifications request at a discounted price.

To ensure the privacy and integrity of your credit card information, we do not view, collect or store credit card information in any form when you are making online payments or purchases. When a purchase is made on our website portal, using the online payment facility, the session and information is totally handled and processed by our nominated bank on our behalf. When credit card payments are processed, they are done over 128-bit SSL encryption.
