Springvale Private Nursing Home is a 73 bed high care facility located in Springvale Road just beyond the shopping centre. The original part of the nursing home housed 51 beds and has been significantly updated in the past 12 months. A new wing was opened in 2004 and accommodates 22 residents. There are 2 courtyards for resident use. The nursing home is easily accessed by both bus and train and there is ample car parking on site.

The accommodation is a mix of single and two bed rooms with ensuites. The nursing home accommodates people of 17 different cultural backgrounds reflecting the population of Springvale over the years. Staff, medical practitioners and volunteers from a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds are available to enable the home to better meet the specific needs of residents. Recently a program to meet cultural food preferences has been launched.

The lifestyle program runs 7 days a week and is integrated well with local community activities and family involvement is encouraged.

Clinical care is managed by qualified registered nurses and a range of specialist services is available according to need.

The facility is currently accredited until April 2008.
