Welcome to Embracia on the Avenue
Embracia on the Avenue is our latest brand-new home, which opened in June 2009. Home to 122 residents and is situated in Bonton Avenue, Deception Bay on beautiful Moreton Bay just north of Brisbane. At Embracia on the Avenue we use the social model of care to provide a sense of belonging and companionship in this state-of-the-art modern aged care home that is sure to become the Home of choice for the local area.
Like all Embracia homes, Embracia on the Avenue is ideally located less than 2 kilometres from shops for those who want to use their independence and remain out and about in their community. If it's the quieter life you would prefer, we are the same short distance to the Moreton Bay seafront and a pleasant stroll along the foreshore.
We have a model of care which integrates both high and low care so that residents are not required to be moved into another area as their needs change over time. We believe that the care should come to the room, instead of moving residents out of a room that they are very comfortable in. We provide low care, high care, respite care, and dementia care. All of our homes provide 24-hour RN coverage supported by Personal Carers and a dedicated lifestyle team complemented by visiting specialists such as music therapists and allied health professionals.
Embracia on the Avenue offers all single rooms with private en-suites, built in wardrobes, thermostatically controlled heating, ceiling fan and phone point, as well as a nurse call system. The building is divided into a number of smaller more intimate communities, all with their own private lounge room, dining room and kitchen, as well as other cosy sitting rooms.
The communities branch off an internal "streetscape" consisting of a digital theatre/multi-purpose room, indoor/alfresco café, hairdressing salon, private dining room, chapel, library with internet, gym and more. Each community has its own permanent staff, allowing opportunity for companionship for residents, their families and staff, so creating a "family" for each community.
