Opened in 2007 Embracia in Lynbrook is state-of-the-art, and Home to 82 residents. Situated at 42 Olive Road, Lynbrook and set in the heart of vibrant local community it is ideally placed to serve the area.
Embracia in Lynbrook provides both high and low levels of care, specialised dementia care and respite care. We do not have separate high and low care communities. Residents are able to remain in their community as their needs change over time. At Embracia in Lynbrook you will not be sent to the nursing home, the nursing home will come to your room. One of the four communities is specifically kept for those needing a little more security and dementia-specific services and will see residents supported by staff with specialised dementia training. All of our homes provide 24-hour RN coverage supported by Personal Carers and a dedicated lifestyle team complemented by visiting specialists such as music therapists and allied health professionals.
All residents have their own private bedrooms with personal en-suites, built in wardrobes, thermostatically controlled heating, ceiling fan and phone point, as well as a nurse call system. We even have some adjoining rooms specially designed for couples. The grounds are landscaped with outdoor courtyards and gazebos. We have comfortable living areas as well as more private sitting rooms with kitchenettes and a library area. All communal areas are heated and air-conditioned.
Embracia in Lynbrook is divided into 4 smaller "Communities", all with their own private lounge room, dining room and kitchen, as well as other intimate sitting rooms. The communities branch off an internal "streetscape" consisting of a digital theatre/multi-purpose room, indoor/alfresco café, hairdressing salon, private dining room, chapel, library with internet, gym and more. Each community has its own permanent staff, allowing opportunity for companionship for residents, their families and staff, so creating a "family" for each community.
The home is privileged to have its 4 communities names after four legendary premiership coach; John Kennedy, Allan Jeans, David Parkin and Alan Joyce. John and Allan are pictured above with members of the MacKenzie family as they attended the opening ceremony, hosted by Hawthorn legend Peter Knights, an event that brought out much passion in our residents!
